Centennial Celebration
Oil Derrik
On February 23, 1917, Brea's founding families incorporated a small wildcatting oil town and put the City of Brea on the map. Since then, Brea has grown into a vibrant business, recreation and cultural center boasting housing and services for a diverse community. Now it’s time to celebrate the 100-year journey that created one of Orange County’s premier cities!

Brea 100th Birthday Council Meeting
Join us to commemorate and celebrate the actual date of incorporation as a city. The Brea City Council will welcome guests at a special meeting on Thursday, February 23, for sharing some highlights.

Parade and Picnic Postponed
Due to the continual weather forecast of heavy rainstorms for this coming weekend, the long-planned Centennial Parade and Picnic must be postponed due to safety and logistical concerns. The Committee is determined to celebrate Brea’s Centennial by rescheduling the parade and picnic at a later date to be determined. Bookmark this site and keep an eye on social media for updates!
