Centennial Parade and Picnic Rescheduled for May 20, 2017

Brea’s Centennial Parade on  Birch Street
Line up along Birch Street on Saturday, May 20th (starting time TBD), as Brea’s Centennial Parade celebrates its 100th year. Brea’s Centennial Parade steps out near Associated Road and Birch Street, and heads east toward the Sports Park. Community groups will show plenty of hometown spirit as they march with more than 100 parade units.

Brea’s Centennial Picnic at the Sports Park
The fun continues with the Centennial Picnic at the Brea Sports Park immediately following the parade (time TBD). The Brea Ministerial Association is coordinating food booths and live entertainment will be onstage. Fun for the whole family.

Brea is one of the oldest communities in Orange County having incorporated in 1917 as the city of "Oil, Oranges and Opportunity." The City's rich history began as an oil boom town near the turn of the twentieth century, as oil workers settled in search of their fortune and businesses opened to serve the oil companies.
