The Brea Fire Department now has these forms available to download for your convenience.

Permit Applications

Permit Applications must be submitted in person with 3 hard copies of plans and 1 electronic copy in PDF format. The PDF can be on a flash drive, cd, or DVD. If submitted on a CD or DVD, it will not be returned. We accept check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Each permit paid by check needs to have separate checks. (Example: 3 permits is 3 separate checks)

Information (Public Records) Requests

Information Request Forms can be mailed, faxed, emailed, or submitted in person. It takes 10 business days from the day we receive your request to respond to you. If approved, you will be contacted to set up an appointment to view the files. Candle Test Permits need to be submitted in person. Please call to schedule a Candle Test appointment with one of our fire inspectors.

Special Events
If you are hosting a special event such as a company picnic, employee appreciation, or church event please fill out this

Special Events Fire Application and submit to: City of Brea Fire Department 1 Civic Center Cir 2nd Fl, Brea, Ca 92821, Fire Prevention. If you are not sure if you need to fill out this form for your event, please contact us. Larger events will require a Temporary Use Permit to be submitted to the Planning Department.
